Intentions

we all have good and evil inside,
that doesn't make us good or bad persons though,
it's the choices we make,
the risks we take,
the part we choose to act upon
that defines who we are.
it seems simple,
but simple it is not.
we can still hurt trying to do some good,
we can still help although our intentions were bad:
this equation has too many variables,
and can evolve in unpredictable ways.
we can only try to get it right,
certain that we're going to fail too many times along the way...
we'll just have to keep trying...
keep trying, and failing, and guessing, and wishing,
and dreaming, and loving, and hurting...
keep trying, though hurt, though tired, though weak,
keep trying.
